Terms of Use
Effective date: June 18, 2026. These terms govern your use of the Pour Advice marketing site, the tasting trainer, the buyer dashboard, and the CRM. Read them before you sign in. Questions: hello@pouradvice.com.
Acceptance
By accessing or using pouradvice.com, the tasting trainer at /taste, the buyer dashboard, the CRM, or any other service operated by Pour Advice LLC (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Eligibility
You must be of legal drinking age in your jurisdiction (21 or older in the United States) to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and that any information you provide is accurate and complete.
What the Service is — and isn’t
Pour Advice is a beverage brokerage that operates a software platform for the wine and beverage trade. The tasting trainer is an educational tool intended to help users practice deductive tasting and study wine. Nothing in the Service constitutes professional advice on purchasing, investing in, importing, or consuming alcohol. Educational content, tasting notes, recap templates, and similar materials are provided for personal edification and trade-practice purposes only.
The Service does not sell wine or alcohol. Brokerage services connect brands and licensed buyers; any actual purchase or distribution is handled by licensed distributors and retailers outside this Service.
Accounts
Some features require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the credentials (including your Google account) that you use to sign in, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access at hello@pouradvice.com.
Buyer accounts must complete license verification before booking in-person tastings. We may approve, request additional information from, or decline any buyer account at our discretion.
Permitted use
You may use the Service for personal, educational, and legitimate business purposes consistent with these Terms. You may not:
— Reproduce, redistribute, sublicense, or sell any portion of the Service’s code, content, wine data, theory materials, or AI-generated text for commercial purposes outside an authorized Pour Advice agreement.
— Reverse engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the Service.
— Circumvent authentication, access another user’s account, or otherwise interfere with the security of the Service.
— Submit unlawful, fraudulent, harassing, or infringing content; or upload license documents, recaps, or other materials you do not have the right to share.
— Use the Service in violation of applicable alcoholic beverage laws or three-tier distribution rules in your jurisdiction.
Educational materials
Wine education content, varietal profiles, tasting theory cards, tasting-note templates, and any AI-assisted text produced inside the Service are made available for personal study and trade practice. They are not certified examination materials, are not guaranteed to be accurate or current, and must not be relied upon for examination preparation requiring verified accuracy, for professional certification claims, or for any purpose requiring authoritative content. References to grape and region sets used by certifying bodies are for educational reference only; Pour Advice is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Court of Master Sommeliers, WSET, or any other certifying body.
Brokerage and sponsored content
Brand and product information surfaced through the Service may reflect commercial relationships between Pour Advice and the brands represented. Sponsored placements are identified where they appear. Linking to a producer, retailer, or distributor is not an endorsement of that third party, and any transactions you enter into with third parties are governed by their own terms.
User content
You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service (recap notes, account records, tasting attempts, license documents, profile information). You grant Pour Advice a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and process that content as necessary to operate the Service for you. We may delete content that we believe violates these Terms or applicable law.
Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, software, copy, wine data, theory materials, and trademarks, is the property of Pour Advice LLC and its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right in our trademarks or trade dress.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, applicable law, or our community standards. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time by emailing hello@pouradvice.com.
Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS OF CONTENT. POUR ADVICE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS WILL PREPARE YOU FOR ANY SPECIFIC EXAMINATION OR PROFESSIONAL OUTCOME.
Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, POUR ADVICE LLC, ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND PARTNERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100).
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Pour Advice LLC from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right, including any alcoholic beverage law in your jurisdiction.
Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The exclusive venue for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be the state or federal courts located in Davidson County, Tennessee, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective date” above reflects the most recent revision. We will surface material changes inside the Service where reasonable. Continued use after a revision constitutes acceptance.
